Sometimes they become books.
Sometimes they hide inside an empty bottle.
Sometimes they are sitting inside a film, waiting to be noticed.
These are some of the stories I've written, discovered, collected and followed along the way.

I've written fiction for the page, and created stories for the ear.

Every empty bottle is filled with a story.
A drink is rarely just a drink.
There's a place it came from.
Someone who made it.
Someone who discovered it.
A history behind it.
And, more often than not, a few stories that happened along the way.
Empty Bottles is where I follow those stories — through people, places, drinks, history and the conversations that happen around a table.
Picturewallah
Some films refuse to end when the credits roll.
There are films we watch.
And then there are films that stay.
A scene. A character. A line. A song. A strange little detail you can't quite forget.
Picturewallah is my way of going back to those films — looking at the stories behind them, the stories within them, and sometimes the stories they leave behind.
Stories take many forms.
A novel.
A conversation.
A bottle.
A film.
A memory.
Sometimes a story is waiting to be written.
Sometimes it's waiting to be heard.
And sometimes, you just have to notice that it's already there.
Kahaani abhi baaki hai.
